Chapter 10.92. CONTAMINATED PROPERTIES FROM ILLEGAL DRUG MANUFACTURING OR STORAGE |
§ 10.92.135. Responsibility for decontamination, disposal, and compliance with orders.
A.
The owner, occupant, any person in control of any contaminated property, and any person responsible for contaminating the property, are required to decontaminate or dispose of the property in accordance with Chapter 64.44 RCW, WAC, Chapter 246-205 and the orders of the health officer, and shall comply with all orders issued by the health officer pursuant to this chapter.
B.
The health officer shall notify the owner or person in control of property or person causing or otherwise responsible for the violation, that decontamination or disposal is required. The notice shall contain a brief description of the violation, state the corrective action required, specify a reasonable deadline for the performance of any act required, state the appeal rights as set forth in Section 10.92.020 and, if applicable, state that if any required action is not performed by the deadline, the health officer or building official may secure the property and/or proceed to cause the violation to be abated and will seek to collect the costs by any and all legal means.
