§ 2.114.050. Appointment and removal of council members.

All council members shall be appointed by the board of county commissioners. Midterm vacancies shall be filled in the same manner as original appointments. A council member may be removed by the board of county commissioners for misconduct or malfeasance. In the event that a council member is absent without excuse from three consecutive regular meetings, or is absent, with or without excuse, from fifty percent of the meetings in any twelve-month period, a majority vote of a quorum of the council may declare the member's position vacant.
