§ 18.32.235. Final approval and recording.

  • A.

    If the applicant complies with all the requirements and conditions of preliminary short plat approval and all other applicable standards or regulations, then final approval shall be given by the department based upon a finding that the short plat serves the public use and interest. The written approval shall be inscribed upon the face of the short plat.

    B.

    In the event the approving body decides to give final approval but requires the fulfillment of conditions subsequent to approval or the subsequent construction improvements, the approving body may require the applicant to provide security for fulfillment or completion pursuant to Chapter 18.24.

    C.

    If fulfillment of conditions or provision of improvements is to occur prior to final approval, the applicant shall be entitled to final approval when the conditions are met or improvements are provided.

    D.

    The action approving a short plat shall become effective if, within five days, a declaration of short subdivision has been filed for record with the Thurston County auditor. The county auditor shall furnish copies to other county agencies as required. The fees for these copies shall be in addition to all other recording fees. All required copies shall bear the auditor's recording data.
