§ 17.15.500. Aquifer recharge areas—Purpose.

It is the policy of Thurston County to accomplish the following:
A.

To maintain groundwater recharge;

B.

To prevent the degradation of groundwater resources;

C.

To recognize the delicate balance between surface and groundwater resources;

D.

To balance competing needs for water while preserving essential natural functions and processes; and

E.

To comply with Chapter 173-200 WADC, as amended, the Water Quality Standards for Groundwater of the State of Washington.
