  • International Fire Code Section 901.11 is added to read as follows:

    901.11 False alarms. In each instance involving three false alarm activations that occur from any one system within a continuous ninety-day period, the local fire district shall notify in writing such person, firm or corporation that they may be held responsible for costs of responding to such false alarms if they continue to occur. A fee may be charged when four false alarms occur in any ninety-day period.

    Should additional false alarms occur in the ninety-day period, the local fire district is authorized to recover cost for each response, according to a fee schedule adopted by the same jurisdiction. The local fire district shall adopt a fee schedule, independent of Thurston County, which reflects the actual costs incurred to respond.
